Primary School

Lisa worked for many years in a primary school and has seen all sides of school life, including, office management, learning support , playground duty and lunchtimes in the dining hall!
if you know you know hehe,. She has found that the way you approach, speak and act around both children and adults, has helped to avoid scenarios escalating. Especially avoiding confrontation at the office window.

Having vast experience delivering workshops in Primary schools, it has become apparent to us both that children learn if they are having fun. So, when we teach children from 5-11 simple age-appropriate break away techniques, we add an element of fun in the process. This way they learn and listen but are not scared by the subject matter. We aim to emphasise awareness for the child and to escape and run away, followed by the importance of telling an adult they trust. To tell them what happened and when, especially if the attacker says, DO NOT TELL!.

We operate an open forum where questions can be asked throughout the session. Scenarios are shown and this encourages students to ask “what would I do if?” questions, as they may have been involved in, or seen a situation in the past .

Classes of similar age groups work well together. We find each individual class workshop in the school hall is ideal. However, we will work to suit your requirements. Teachers and support staff also enjoy these sessions, so not to miss out ,why not book a staff training session at the end of the day to let off steam! Or even a more involved staff training day. These sessions have been proved beneficial to staff and are very popular.
